LMF and Femecv, together to promote the new 10.7k Nordic Walk

The Lurbel Mountain Festival is growing. The 2019 event will expand its offer of competitive activities for outdoor enthusiasts with a new 10.7K Nordic Walking discipline as part of the activities to be held on Saturday the 6th of April 2019.

This is a new test that adds to the two existing trekking disciplines (10.7K and 25K) and will have the support and participation of the Valencian mountain federation´s Nordic Walking team, Femecv, highlighting the presence of the current Spanish champion of this discipline, Ramon Alvarez.

Hiking Day

In order to promote this new event even more, Saturday the 6th of April has been declared as Trekking Day in Castilla la Mancha and the event will be the Castilla la Mancha Championship.

Much more than trail

Although the event was born in 2013 mainly focused on trail running, the incorporation of Mountain Biking in 2016 marked the beginning of a new concept of event, consolidated this year with a new graphic image that also reinforces the concept of "mountain festival". Currently the cycling discipline is one of the main attractions of the event and is considered as one of the hardest at the national level, considering its 70Km distance, its imposing 3000m uphill slope and its five mountain passes.
